Earth or Space?



Space. A beautiful concoction of stars, galaxies and nebulae. And to think we have only explored a crumble of this colossal cookie. However, exploration requires investment, large amounts of investment and this comes with an opportunity cost of reducing and mainly solving global problems.

Space exploration can lead to the development of new technology as to improve efficiency and aid exploration. This technology can then be developed for common use. One such technology is the water purification system developed by NASA, used to purify water supplies in a spacecraft. These things can reduce global water sanitation issues and reduce disease spread as well. Overall, these technologies can reduce global issues and help in the long-term.


Giant Impact Hypothesis

Moreover, space exploration can help prove multiple different theories and hypotheses set by scientists. An example of this is the hypothesis Giant Impact hypothesis, which is widely accepted due to its proof which laid in moon rocks. These theories and hypotheses can help one gain a better understanding of the universe and possibly develop technologies utilizing these theories.


Furthermore, space exploration can also help find new habitable planets which could be potential homes in the future. One of the best, reachable exoplanet is Proxima  Centauri b which with enough technology could be our next home and 
a fresh, new and better start. With global problems on the rise and getting more 
and more problematic, investment is space exploration is crucial to the survival of 
our species. And who knows, we may find alien life the way there.


On the other hand, some people may argue that issues like pollution, global warming and their effects have to be stopped much before we move on to space exploration. However, this is not as easy as it seems. Even if we stopped emitting all greenhouse gases now, the global temperature will still rise by 0.6 degrees due to all the greenhouse gas emissions in the past which itself would take a few decades. Only after this will Earth's surface temperature actually decrease, and this would take a long time.


Space exploration should be highly invested in. From discovering new technologies to new planets: it is the way to go.

Is AI really going to take all our jobs?

AI otherwise known as artificial intelligence is the ability of a computational system to perform tasks associated with human intelligence like learning, reasoning, problem-solving, perception and decision-making.
